F-4 Phantom II Blue Angels & Thunderbirds Livery Pack

The F-4 Phantom is an aircraft of legend. It has served many nations throughout its life, and continues to fly to this day.

The Blue Angels flew the F-4J Phantom II from 1969 to 1973, while the Thunderbirds flew the F-4E Phantom II during the same period.

This pack serves as an expansion to the default Blue Angel and Thunderbird liveries that ship with DC Designs Phantom package, by completing the teams for their respective years.

The Blue Angels team is represented from the first season in 1969, while the Thunderbirds aircraft are from the 1972 season.

A unique quirk of both of the teams while flying the Phantom was the discolouration that happened to the Number 4 jet of each team. Due to its position in the various formations that the teams flew, this aircraft received a significant amount of the notoriously dirty exhaust trails of the Phantom. This resulted in some significant discolouration of the tails of these jets! This is represented in this pack, and while some reports state that the USAF simply painted the tail of the Number 4 jet black, if you look closely at references, it is actually not a solid block of colour and you can just make out the markings underneath!

However, for those who prefer a more "clean" look, a livery of the aircraft in its ideal clean state as well!

This livery pack is for the DC Designs F-4 Phantom for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It is not compatible with other models.
